DESIGN QUOTE OF THE MONTH:

Year 2011, (frankly its the end of January) I now share with you a monthly ritual of (trumpets, please!): DESIGN QUOTE OF THE MONTH

For the month of January, brought to you with limited interruptions by Cute Squirrels, I present you this quote:

A camel is a horse designed by a committee. — Sir Alec Issigonis

Inside a Python

Science is inherently cool, but gross science is even better. The most peculiar design contest ever. {Herman Miller}

Here's the copy: "Check out the Herman Miller Design for You contest, which includes prizes like the Embody Chair, Leaf Light, and one-of-a-kind artist painted Eames rockers.  I entered for a chance to win some great prizes, and so can you!"

When you visit the website, a great video plays. But they seem to be trying to really create hype by collecting website hits and data. What's up Herman Miller? The more people enter, the more gifts they are giving.... But that seems to be the end of it. Weird way to do some brand extension.

Click here to enter. Honestly, lets hope someone I know wins an Eames chair.
